From a hedgerow lane to your table.
Olive & Ash began with a stubborn idea: that the best meals are short journeys. So we planted a market garden behind an old stone barn, befriended the farmers down the valley, and learned to cook with whatever the morning brought through the door.
There's no rush here. Mornings start with sourdough proving by the windows and a forager's basket of nettles, wild garlic or sloes depending on the week. By lunch the dining room fills with the smell of woodsmoke and roasting roots — and the gentle clatter of a place that simply loves to feed people.
We name our two oldest oaks after the trees on the hill: Olive, who shades the kitchen garden, and Ash, who watches over the orchard. Everything we serve passes between them.
